Purefoods Pear Shaped Ham Salad :))

The holidays are gone, but our left over foods are still crowding our fridge. What to do???

Lemme teach you a very simple recipe which uses our left over Christmas Ham (or which ever is available in your household) that will surely help you gain back to your "usual" weight without being too harsh on yourself. LOL. Here's how:

What You'll Need:
  • Any left over Christmas Ham (mine's Pear Shaped)
  • Olive oil
  • Fresh ice berg lettuce
  • Tomatoes, chopped
  • Cucumber, chopped
  • Calamansi or Lemon
  • Pinch of sugar
  • Salt and pepper (optional)
  • Grated Cheese (optional)

For the Salad Dressing:
1. We'll be doing the traditional dressing—no more mayos and ceasar and asian!. Mix in one teaspoon of calamansi or lemon juice into two tablespoons of water. Add some sugar to lessen the sour taste.

1. Fry your ham in olive oil (for a healthy start). Chop in small bite size pieces and set aside.

2. Chop the tomatoes and the cucumber, and tear in the lettuce leaves. Use your bare hands in tearing and do not cut it with a knife—this is to avoid the leaves and the edges to turn brown faster.
3. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl, pour the dressing over salad and toss. Add salt and pepper to taste. You can even add grated cheese on top for more flavour.
